Following the successful 2004 opening of the county’s first cardiac catheterization laboratory, University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center introduced a Heart and Vascular Center that offers an array of diagnostic capabilities for cardiac conditions in addition to interventional procedures for complex vascular problems. The hospital has an expanded 12-bed critical care unit for providing advanced care to patients with cardiac conditions, medically complex illnesses or intensive post-operative needs.
